Our Story

Provida Pétanque Club was founded on January 1, 2025, by Neak Oknha Ing Bunhoaw, with the vision of creating a strong pétanque community in Cambodia.

Pétanque is a traditional sport that originated in France in the early 20th century and was later introduced to Cambodia during the French colonial period. Over time, the sport became popular in the country and is now played by people of all ages.

The game is played in teams on a small gravel court, usually about 4 meters wide and 12–15 meters long, where players compete using skill, precision, and strategy.

Provida Pétanque Club was established to promote this sport, bring players together, and support the growth of pétanque in Cambodia while connecting with the international pétanque community.

We encourage all players to learn the sport, practice regularly, and do their best to show their skills and strategies.

Provida Pétanque Club welcomes everyone—both male and female, especially young players—to join our activities and competitions.

Through pétanque, we hope to build friendship, discipline, and opportunities for the next generation of Cambodian athletes.
